For some people, mentioning the word "consultant" might conjure images of a PowerPoint-wielding, ivory-towered intellectual who dispenses advice and opinions from on high, but who shies away from the nitty-gritty details of implementing their recommendations. Or of an order taker, who simply asks the client what services they want and then delivers exactly (and only) those services it requested. At Magellan we have a different idea of what it means to be a consultant.
To be a Magellan consultant means to always do what’s in the best interest of our clients. Yes, offering advice and insights is often part of the job, and of course it’s critical to give our clients what they want. But a Magellan consultant is so much more: listener, problem solver, analyst, planner, learner, teacher, leader, and worker bee. Magellan consultants operate comfortably in a group or independently. They are dynamic, authentic, creative, and passionate about improving medical technology. They are as mindful of budgets and timelines as they are about marketing plans and case report forms. And whether acting as project managers or a functional specialists, Magellan consultants are an integral part of the client team.
Magellan encourages submissions of résumés/CVs in response to current job postings.
